Three Digit Days Are For the Dogs

Erin, the lady in the white and black top had a flat tire and who else but the tire Miester, Bill Dorman is in the tire repair Indian style sitting position. And of course there is plenty of help all around. For some of us though, it was break time, so we could just lean on our bikes or stand there holding onto it like a beloved pony.
Finally though, I think two heads were better than ten. They ended up putting a presta tube in a Shraeder hole. It worked fine for the rest of the ride.
The swim in the San Marcos River was terrific as usual. A favorable wind made for a nice return, and changing up the route was interesting.
The count down now for my trip to El Paso is 34 Days!!

Circles of Wellness
Janell and Jenkins were in the coffee shop after a nice morning 30 mile group ride. Everyone else had gone home, but the coffee shop has great sandwiches and the coffee will do.
"Didn't you tell me you were married to an Indian"? Janell asked, out of the blue.
Jenkins' brow bent just a little and a shake of the head indicating no.
"Or was it that one of your marriages was an Indian ceremony"?
"Yes, that IS what I said". Jenkins hadn't thought of that day for some time now, thinking that it was an honest attempt at being Indian, but still done by white people.
"Those can be kind of spiritual, don't you think"? Jenkins couldn't tell if Janell was just trying to keep silent spots void, or was she just showing genuine interest in a fellow Sunday group rider.
"I sure do", trying to sound intelligent and engaged, he continued with, "If I say the words to the Apache Prayer out loud, I can't help but to feel the connection with the unseen universe".
Janell nodded in an affirming way.
Jenkins flashed back to another conversation a few days ago with Tiffany, a co-worker. How he attempted to explain that it wasn't A relationship that he wanted so badly to work, but it was THAT relationship. And where does the Apache prayer come into all this?
The last two days were very good rides. The spinning of the cranks, the revolutions that produce miles in space, and circles for the soul that heal the heart.

Video Novice
OK, so I figured out how to get the video on the blog site, but the one I wanted to put on there is too large, so you can see a short take of me going down Congress in the 4: traffic. I have learned that to claim the lane is the best thing to do, for me and the other traffic. We are all in this together. Click on the link below.
