Backflow Prevention

Now here's a little gem. I am waiting for this toy to show up in El Paso, So we can get started on our awesome drip irrigation project


This company, Drip Irrigation Products seems to be a good company with decent prices on stuff. The owner of this company has a nice tutorial or manual as he calls it.(Click on link above to go to the site)


This backflow prevention valve is the starting poing of the project, so that item was purchased first. The rest of the materials needed will follow with trips to Home Depot and other places.


Some things that will be needed as we progress through this particular job:


  1. PVC pipe

  2. Valves, PVC, or Brass?

  3. Automatic valve and Clock controller

  4. Drip tubing, poruous pipe and fittings

  5. Tools and equipment

  6. Any Ideas from you?



The weather permits riding my HPV to work lately


I rode in today against a nice headwind, I hope it stays that way to even out the ride home

Back in January of 1956 this photograph was developed. I belive it must have been taken on Christmas Day fo 1955, testifying to how nice Santa was that year. That was my first flyer complete with frong basket. Martha and Ronnie got fixed up too. No training wheels were there to get me started the softer gentler way. I can remember the scary days of learning to just let it go and keep a balance, with mom hollering behind me to just pedal. Awesome

Martino is quite a source for stuff. His blog site is linked in the list on the right. I think bicycle folks would really like his regular refreshing posts. I like the yellow card idea, but lately I haven't had any problems and the last I remember there would have been no time to toss a magnet to the vehicle. But it's the idea.
